Who We Are:

Urakay Juett, RN, BS, CCRC, Director of Clinical Research
Urakay is the Director of Clinical Research in Dr. Steven H. Dayan’s office. She is extremely passionate about exploring the latest and greatest in the medical field. She believes very strongly that research is extremely beneficial to patient care and works hard to make sure patients are placed in the study that best suits their needs.

Selika Borst, MS, RN, Director of Aesthetic Clinical Research
Selika Gutierrez Borst, is a Masters prepared Registered Nurse with a Nurse Practitioner degree from North Park University on Chicago’s north side. She brings 16 years of clinical expertise along with 10 years of research from Rush University. Selika has a strong background in Adult Clinical Psychiatry and Internal Medicine. She has been known as a prominent member in psychiatry for the past 10 years and was an adjunct professor at Elmhurst College before coming to work for DeNova Research.

Selika works closely on the clinical side as well as the research side with Steven H. Dayan, MD and Michelle Whitehall, PA-C. Currently treating patients with neurotoxins and lasers, Selika has embraced the aesthetic world with her knowledge and attention to detail. She enjoys learning the ins and out of the aesthetic field and is well informed on the latest treatments to improve skin’s youthful appearance.

Jack Arkins, B.S., Clinical Research Coordinator/ Data Manager
Jack graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2008 with a degree in Pre-medicine. His impeccable writing skills coupled with his ability to manage the research data allow DeNova to exceed standards. He has been with DeNova for over a year and enjoys working directly with patients when they come in for their visits. He not only assists with patients, but is constantly on the lookout for new trials he can bring to his patients. His goal is to help place patients in a study that helps them achieve the esthetic enhancement they are looking for.

Ken Johnson, Clinical Research Assistant / Recruitment and Retention Specialist
As the Recruitment and Retention Specialist for DeNova Research, Ken helps spread the word about upcoming studies and screens potential study patients for current studies. Additionally, he assists in preparing study patients for enrollment once they have qualified for a study and tracks their progress throughout enrollment. Outside of the office, Ken participates in a dart league and volleyball team. He is an avid Chicago White Sox, Blackhawks, and Bears fan and he loves Paris in the spring.
